L Driving License Exam...PASSED!!

  • Nov. 4th, 2008 at 8:20 PM

Hehe, just got back from the road rules and regulations exam and I PASSED!!! To be honest, it was kind of easy to me but then again, I have also met some people there who failed several times o_o. At first, I thought the exam was a written exam and I brought my pencil case for that.

Oh my foolishness, how could I not realize how modern Malaysia is now :D?! There are no more written exams for soo many years!! (As told by my driving instructor) The exam is now done by computers. You just have to choose the correct answer as shown on the computer screen along with the question.

And, there's this color blind test. There are a few questions and if you answer ANY one of them wrongly, you fail the whole exam instantly. Scary isnt it? Haha..
There are a total of 50 questions in the whole exam. All are objective questions :D.
Anyway, I'll have to attend another 6-hour course before I really start to learn driving...practically!!

Thought of the Day : Another course??!! Six hours?!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

  • Oct. 31st, 2008 at 11:12 PM

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeen!!
Oh dam, I don't hav a costume..I want a costume NAO!! I want to dress up as a Shinigami!! Haha.
By the way, the kids around my block celebrate Halloween. My doorbell has been rung sooo many times!! Luckily, I had some candies to spare those kids xD. Once, I opened the door and jumped out and shouted to scared them. Boy, wasn't that fun xD. Now, If only everyone in Malaysia celebrates Halloween :D

Thought of the Day : Trick or Treat...!!

The Amazing Race Asia 3 Episode 8

  • Oct. 30th, 2008 at 10:43 PM

Ok, TARA 3 is really getting into my nerves. Although it is still kind of fun to watch but it is getting very lame!!! ( I'm talking about the race set up and challenges). In this leg, the teams go back to Macau Tower which was visited during the previous leg. This really pisses me off. It makes the race too simple. I have never seen any Amazing Race which visit the same location again in connecting episodes.

Oh well, the teams went to the tower and did a bungee jump. Wow, that is sooooo exciting!! *sarcasm*.
I'm losing my patience and The Amazing Race 13 is much more captivating. Too bad, blame myself that I'm an Asian which my inner self tells me to continue to watch TARA 3 xD....LOL.

Four teams left and the end of the race is coming!! Is Malaysia going to be visited during the last few legs? Stay tune!

Route : Macau, Republic of China ----> Cochin, India

Leaderboard
1. Geoff & Tisha
2. A.D. & Fuzzie
3. Ida & Tania
4. Sam & Vincent
5. Henry & Bernie <---- Eliminated on EP 8
6. Mai & Oliver <---- Eliminated on EP 5
7. Niroo & Kapil <---- Eliminated on EP 4
8. Pailin & Natalie <---- Eliminated on EP 3
9. William & Isaac <---- Eliminated on EP 2
10. Neena & Amit <---- Eliminated on EP 1

Brian's reviews
+ Ida & Tania were amazing. They catched up a lot! They were actually the 2nd team to arrive at the pitstop but they had to face a compulsory 30minutes penalty for being last in the previous leg. After the penalty, they became 3rd.
+ Geoff faced his fear of raw big cold fish :O.
+ Elephant helped Tania & Ida finished their task quicker :D. (Task was to wash the elephant's body)

- I have absolutely no idea why Henry & Bernie did not do the raw fish task. Too bad, they lost.
- Henry's face was so 'black' when he was declared eliminated at the pitstop. Not sporting at all!
- Henry & Bernie and Sam & Vincent missed their connecting flight which made them fall back behind of other teams for quite some time.

Thought of the Day : One Malaysia team down!

The Gem Of Life

  • Oct. 29th, 2008 at 7:34 PM

English Title: The Gem of Life
Chinese Title: 珠光寶氣
Cantonese Title: Ju Gwong Bo Hei
Casts: Ada Choi, Gigi Lai, Maggie Shiu, Bowie Lam,
Moses Chan, Bosco Wong, Linda Chung, Wong Hei, etc.
Length: 82 episodes (Cantonese) // 61 tapes (Vietnamese)
Release Date: October 2008 (Canto) // October 2008 (Viet)
Genre: Grand Production Drama/Epic Blockbuster

Synopsis:
You may wish to be a famous socialite.
You may wish to have fame and fortune.
But is that really what you will wish for at the end?

In Pak Siu Yau’s (Louise Lee See Kei) eyes, her three daughters are just as perfect as diamonds. She believes that the greatest blessing for a woman is to marry a wealthy man. To guarantee a better life for her daughters, she has started training the girls since they were young, hoping that they will marry into the richest families when they mature.

Yau’s first daughter Hong Nga Yin (Maggie Shiu Mei Kei) does not agree with her values. Yet when she sees that the man Yin is going out with is Ko Cheung Sing (Bowie Lam Bo Yi), who is very well-off, she decides to let Yin go with her choice. Yau’s second daughter Hong Nga Tung (Gigi Lai Chi) is hopelessly romantic but does not seem to have much luck with men. To make it up to her, Yau seeks to match her up with Ho Chit Nam (Moses Chan Ho), the son of Hong Kong’s most powerful business tycoon Ho Fung (Ngok Wah). Being the youngest in the family, Hong Nga Sze (Ada Choi Siu Fan) is well aware of Yau’s concerns. Having recovered from divorce, Sze now decides to pin all her hopes on Fung.

So far, I have only watched few episodes of this great drama. Not as impressive as Moonlight Resonance but I will give time to this drama because its a lengthy one. As one says, a perfect story/script needs a long time to be told. I believe that this drama will beat Moonlight Resonance. We'll see how it goes :D.

Thought of the Day : L license exam next tuesday!!

Bangkok Dangerous

  • Oct. 28th, 2008 at 7:56 PM

Ok, first of all. Happy Deepavali to all my Indian friends!! I know this wish is supposed to be yesterday but...better late than never right? :D

Anyway, I went out with Janatul and Dana today to watch a movie in KLCC. Janatul WANTED to watch Bangkok Dangerous which I had a strong feeling that I won't like the movie. But what the heck, I still watch the movie and at the end......one word : LAME.

Yes, this movie is L-A-M-E, besides the cool Thai guy and the beautiful deaf/mute girl, others were lame..very lame. The assassinations' style were not very surprising or fresh. Well, maybe because I watched too much Chinese killing/gangster movies :O. The ending was stupid too. I'm not going to tell you what happened but if you like a movie with a stupid ending, go ahead and watch it :X. And, I don't like Nicolas Cage (Nicolas Cage fans can shoot me now)

What passed has passed. The outing was fun nevertheless. I was shock to know that Coffee Bean & Starbucks are now NON-HALAL to Muslims. But, I still do see Muslims drinking their coffee. Fact? I don't know. You tell me.

I look forward to watch 007 Quantum of Solace. Weeeeee, invite me to the movies again during that time.

By the way, thanks Dana for belanja-ing me the movie ticket!!!

And, thanks Janatul for choosing this lame movie!! *sarcasm*

Thought of the Day : No way........pig stuff found in the Coffee Bean/Starbucks?!

The Cute Monster Test

  • Oct. 24th, 2008 at 8:39 PM

Cute monster...xD

Thought of the Day : Ooo.....I finally received the book of Q&A about driving!!

What Your Cute Monster Says About You

You are both a realist and an idealist. You're able to see the world as it is - and how it could be.

You dream big, and you never give up on your beliefs. You have big plans.

Your inner demon is depression. Sometimes you build things up in your head.

People think you're cute because you're determined. You're a fighter, and that's charming.

The Amazing Race Asia 3 Episode 7

  • Oct. 23rd, 2008 at 10:26 PM

Hey, you know what? I'm starting to feel that Amazing Race Asia 3 is getting easier as the episodes continue. Sad. It doesn't seem to be "The Toughest Race Ever" at the moment. It's even getting lame when the Detours/Roadblocks are getting very similar to the previous seasons of the U.S. Amazing Race.

Arghhh. This episode was another Non-Elimination Leg (NEL). It's just like Season 2!!! Lame!!!

Route : Hong Kong ----> Macau (Both locations are in Republic of China)

Leaderboard
1. Geoff & Tisha
2. Sam & Vincent
3. A.D. & Fuzzie
4. Henry & Bernie
5.
Ida & Tania ----> Not eliminated because of NEL (Non-elimination leg) (Yes...another NEL!)
6. Mai & Oliver <---- Eliminated on EP 5
7. Niroo & Kapil <---- Eliminated on EP 4
8. Pailin & Natalie <---- Eliminated on EP 3
9. William & Isaac <---- Eliminated on EP 2
10. Neena & Amit <---- Eliminated on EP 1

Brian's reviews
+ Geoff & Tisha speeding up a lot
+ The Yield is in this episode!!! Geoff & Tisha yielded Henry & Bernie :O.
+ Some teams gave some money to Tania & Ida because they were last during the previous episode and they had no money at the start of this episode.
+ Tania & Ida kept good sportsmanship

- Rivalry seen between Henry & Bernie and Geoff & Tisha.
- Henry & Bernie was yielded.
- Ida & Tania were unable to catch up the time they lost. They were like so farrr behind~!
- A.D. & Fuzzie don't know how to wear a dress!! Hahahaha... xD
- The Blackjack challenge was lame. It copied my "Amazing Race"! Haha
- Macau Tower again....aren't there any other places to visit in Macau??!

Thought of the Day : Hope things get more tense at next week's episode...!

The Amazing Race Asia 3 Episode 6

  • Oct. 21st, 2008 at 4:17 PM

Woo..sorry for the late update on the TARA 3. This time, the teams went to Hong Kong. Yay!! Going to Hong Kong seems fun for them especially its a modern city. I realize that many teams really don't want to go "old" places because it will be very difficult.

Besides that, team Sam & Vincent had home advantage because they are Team Hong Kong! Lol.
By the way, after 5 elimination rounds,
this episode was expected to be a non-elimination round.

Route : Taiwan ----> Hong Kong, Republic of China

Leaderboard
1. Sam & Vincent
2. Henry & Bernie
3. Geoff & Tisha
4. A.D. & Fuzzie
5. Ida & Tania ----> Not eliminated because of NEL (Non-elimination leg)
6. Mai & Oliver <---- Eliminated on EP 5
7. Niroo & Kapil <---- Eliminated on EP 4
8. Pailin & Natalie <---- Eliminated on EP 3
9. William & Isaac <---- Eliminated on EP 2
10. Neena & Amit <---- Eliminated on EP 1

Brian's reviews
+ Home advantage for the Team Hong Kong, Sam & Vincent !! I'm actually rooting for either them or Henry & Bernie to win this entire race.
+ Sam & Vincent breezed through Hong Kong like Speedman. They had no second thoughts at all!
+ Geoff & Tisha getting a lot more competitive
+ It was fun to listen to all the fortunes in the fortune cookies task. The task was to crack up fortune cookies one at a time to look for one that has  the correct fortune among 300 cookies! (Detour task)

-  Pretty disappointed that this episode seems so easy. I was expecting something more challenging in Hong Kong to uphold the slogan "TheToughest Race Ever".
- Henry & Bernie lost time while doing the Fish task (Detour task)
- Ida & Tania couldn't catch up and they were last at the end.
- Wow. Did I just saw Tania pushing a lady aside while that lady is getting into a cab and she said "No no. That taxi is ours first"???? True face revealed??

Thought of the Day : Still studying the rules of driving...sick of it....!

The Driving Course #1

  • Oct. 18th, 2008 at 10:45 PM

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, I finally made it home!!! Finally!!!
After the endless hours of boredom (well, actually only five hours), I'm finally out of that driving course talk room.
Well okay, not to confuse everyone, but actually today was my first attendance of a driving course in a driving academy called Surfine, which is somewhere in Sentul.

I got the information about it from a friend of mine, Alan, and the whole package thing is quite expensive but nevertheless, going there and reaching back out is fully transported by the academy's staff, which is a good thing. I don't want to get lost in the middle of Sentul, trying to find the academy :O.

Too bad Nor Janatul couldn't join me today as because now, she will have to suffer that 5 hours of horror by herself!! Mauahaha. Or..find someone to attend the course with her xD.
Anyway, the word 'academy' seem like so grand but in fact, the place is terrible. Well, like the instructor said, eventhough the place look so crappy, Surfine Driving Academy is No.1 in Malaysia. (o.O....)

About the talk during the course, the instructor did teach a lot of stuff about driving but, I couldn't understand very well what is he saying. That is because the whole talk is in Malay...and a very quick Malay Language....
Luckily, everything he said were also presented out by a projector.
Well, I'm not going to write out about the whole talk. You're going to sit for the talk sooner or later anyway :O.

A friend of mine asked me,

"OMG, You just spent 5 hours of your life on that thing?!"

Well well, isn't the course MANDATORY??!??!?!? Can someone please confirm me?? It's because there WILL BE another 6 hours of talking in another course once after I passed my LDL license exam.

P/S: Sorry Nor, I can't join your party. Too tired :(

Thought of the Day : No.1 in Malaysia...lol..yeah right...haha.

The Amazing Race Asia 3 Episode 5

  • Oct. 9th, 2008 at 11:35 PM

Yoo..! Again another update on the Amazing Race Asia! This time the race route remains in Taiwan and things dont go really well because many teams are tired, lost, stressed, hopeless and drown in the darkness of nighttime!

Still, this episode is indeed good and exciting. However, I didn't like one thing. There was a Fast Forward clue in this leg of the race and the fast forward challenge is a copycat from the previous The Amazing Race seasons (US version).

The Fast Forward required each team member to have a tattoo. Congrats to Sam & Vincent because they were able to complete the FF and went to the pitstop being the 1st team.

Route : Still in Taiwan (Around Taipei)

Leaderboard
1. Sam & Vincent
2. Henry & Bernie
3. A.D. & Fuzzie
4. Geoff & Tisha
5. Ida & Tania
6. Mai & Oliver <---- Eliminated on EP 5
7. Niroo & Kapil <---- Eliminated on EP 4
8. Pailin & Natalie <---- Eliminated on EP 3
9. William & Isaac <---- Eliminated on EP 2
10. Neena & Amit <---- Eliminated on EP 1

Brian's reviews
+ YES!!!!!!!! Oliver & Mai are finally eliminated. I hated them. Until now, Mai did not do any Roadblock at all. She is such a disgrace to The Amazing Race.
+ Sam & Vincent were very lucky to get out of the Sony Centre first. The task was to look for the correct Blu-ray disc among 1000 discs!!!
+ Henry & Bernie, as usual, were in good performance. Keep up the good work!
+ Geoff is not Hercules! - as being told by Tisha

- Mai & Oliver spent the whole day in searching the correct disc among the 1000 discs. Despite the Sony staff gave them the clue because they were closing the shop. The team still did not finish the task. Sad.
- Mai & Oliver has bad sportmanship. They slept in their car. It was like a sign of giving up.
- You could see Allan's face was -not-so-happy- when he has to find Mai & Oliver's car and to knockthem out to say that they were the last team and thus, being eliminated.
- Ida & Tania chose the bad Detour. They should have chosen the Doll task!

Thought of the Day : I'm sure next week's episode is a non-elimination leg!

Updates In Life

  • Oct. 7th, 2008 at 6:25 PM

Being too free is very boring as you can see I'm sitting right infront of my computer, updating this post instead of having some kind of activity outside with friends :O.
And, without the ability to drive a car, the boredom rank gets even higher =.=. But, anyway I got details of a driving instructor from a friend of mine yesterday and I guess I'll start my driving lessons soon.

"Why so slow?!"

You ask?! What's the rush?? Even if I have my driving license now, I don't have any available cars to drive. You don't expect me to call any of my aunties/uncles to drop by their car at my house, do you? Lol.

Well, ok, push that aside. Now it's time to introduce a new feature in my blog!

++BRIAN'S TOP 50 RPG SOUNDTRACK++

Yes, that's the title of the new feature I'm going to introduce in my blog. Once in a while, I'll post a soundtrack, along with a relevant picture in my blog. Of course, the first post starts off with #50 and then another post with #49 and so on.

I will not put the soundtrack on auto-play because you may not like it (somehow...) But anyway, I hope that you will enjoy my Top 50 list of my hand-picked favourite soundtracks from RPG games. The first post will be out somewhere during the end of this week.

Who knows that I would be so interested in Music? I didn't know too!

Thought of the Day : The soundtracks bring a lot of memories~~ The days when I was an avid gamer...

**Edit = Changed Top 100 to Top 50

The Amazing Race Asia Episode 4

  • Oct. 5th, 2008 at 10:05 AM

Well, this post is supposed to be on a Thursday. But, last Thursday I was in Johor Bahru. So, sorry for the slow update on The Amazing Race Asia 3 :).
Anyway, this race's episode is currently my favourite because the next destination is Taipei, Taiwan!!! My whole family is planning to go to Taiwan for vacation next year and this is a good chance to have a small look on the country via TARA 3.

Oliver & Mai's evil wings have spreaded out and all teams ate stinky tofu (DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE IT) during the Roadblock!

Route : Vietnam ----> Taipei, Taiwan

Leaderboard
1. Ida & Tania
2. Sam & Vincent
3. Mai & Oliver
4. Henry & Bernie
5. A.D. & Fuzzie
6. Geoff & Tisha
7. Niroo & Kapil <---- Eliminated on EP 4
8. Pailin & Natalie <---- Eliminated on EP 3
9. William & Isaac <---- Eliminated on EP 2
10. Neena & Amit <---- Eliminated on EP 1

Brian's reviews

+ Henry ate the stinky tofu like nobody's business and he DID NOT insult A.D. He blabbed to get his attention off the tofu. (Many forumers said that he insulted A.D. while eating the tofu)
+ Ida rocked during the stinky tofu challenge and that red thing in the pot of stinky tofu WAS NOT pork blood! It's duck blood. Good for Ida, she didn't break any "pantang"
+ Sam & Vincent are good in Braille code, they got the answer with first try,
+ Smart decision of A.D. & Fuzzie to do the puzzle Roadblock instead of the miniature one.
+ Karma bites Oliver & Mai asses when their taxi driver showed them the wrong way. Serve them right!

- Once again, Mai DID NOT DO THE ROADBLOCK!!! WTF?!! You can't just let Oliver do every single Roadblock..!
- Mai & Oliver are devils. They broke their alliance and their promise.
- Vincent made a silly mistake when he shouted out loud when he found the miniature clue in the miniature museum
- Niroo does not know how to get the car keys out of the Mercedez car. Sad.
- Geoff & Tisha got lost in Taiwan....a lot!

Thought of the Day : If I really am going to go to Taiwan..I must visit that miniature museum xD

Alissa's Open House And B'Day Party

  • Oct. 4th, 2008 at 9:47 PM

When I just got back from Johor Bahru last night. This morning Alissa called me to go to her house to celebrate her birthday in conjunction with Hari Raya. It was quite sudden though but I still went anyway. I guess it was sort of a last minute thing as not many people are going to the party.
When I was there, Dana and Nor were there first. And there's also a Chinese girl who is Alissa's college mate. Her name is Jeng? Gen? I dunno..haha.

Like what Nor Janatul told me, Gen(?) reminds me of a friend of mine called Adeline. Yes, Adeline Tay Cheng May, if you're reading this, I'm talking about YOU. Her every action and her choice of words when speaking really really resembles Adeline's.

Luckily I had time to buy something for Alissa. So, I bought a photo frame and a towel gripper figure that looks like a hand and its in orange ( Alissa's favourite colour ). Back to the party, it was nice and cool. I got to mix around a bit with Alissa's college mates and her cousins.

More updates and photos  will come soon.

Thought of the Day : Never to wear two shirts again...hot!!
